Immunizations and health documents for Graceland practicums
Graceland University's Attachment A lists the health items every graduate practicum student uploads to GF47im, the Medical Document Manager in Castle Branch. Most are records you gather once, but TB, influenza and insurance renew on a schedule, and Graceland will not let you register for a practicum until every item is complete.

Where the list comes from and when it is due
The requirements come from Attachment A of the 2026 Graduate Student Handbook, with a shorter version on its General Procedure page. Every item goes into GF47im in Graceland's Castle Branch account, and nothing is posted or emailed to the School of Nursing. The Castle Branch page explains the GD23 portal and the other packages.
The items are due with the rest of your practicum paperwork: June 15 for a Fall practicum, October 15 for Spring and February 15 for Summer. Page 63 of the handbook adds a firmer line: you cannot register for any practicums until you have completed all of these items. Treat the list as a condition of enrollment in your first practicum course, not something to finish in week one.
Once the items are in, they have to stay current. Graceland counts hours only while your Castle Branch documentation is current and compliant, so an item that expires mid-term matters as much as one never uploaded.
Vaccines and titers
Attachment A accepts more than one kind of proof for most vaccine items. Here is what Graceland asks for:

The hepatitis B declination has to carry a health care provider's signature; Graceland's wording is that any declination signed by a health care provider is acceptable. For COVID-19, the handbook's answer to a student who has not had the vaccine is that the requirement will be marked complete.
Upload a Tdap, not a Td. Attachment A says in so many words that a Td vaccine is not a Tdap vaccine.
TB and flu: the two that run on a clock
TB screening is the item most likely to lapse between practicums. Graceland accepts a one-step tuberculin skin test, a QuantiFERON blood test or a T-Spot dated within the last 12 months, and it must be renewed every year. A result that was current for your first practicum can expire before your second.
Influenza follows the season. Graceland takes a vaccine given as early as July and no later than January 31, and Attachment A lists November 1 as the renewal date. A student who declines the flu vaccine may be required to wear a mask.
Set both against your practicum calendar. A TB result from last September runs out partway through a Fall term that starts in late August, and a Spring practicum begins in early January, before the January 31 flu cutoff. Renew ahead of the term rather than in the middle of it, when a lapse can interrupt your hours.
CPR and ACLS
Graceland accepts CPR certification "from any provider". Upload the card to GF47im and keep it valid through every practicum term.
ACLS is where the handbook disagrees with itself. Attachment A reads "ACLS Certification (Required for AGACNP program only)", while the General Procedure list on page 63 asks for "Current BLS/CPR and ACLS Certification cards" without naming a track. AGACNP students need ACLS under either reading, and the AGACNP program page covers that track's hospital-based practicums.
FNP and PMHNP students should ask their track coordinator which reading applies to them, well before a paperwork deadline, and follow the current handbook. A card that turns out to be required is far easier to get in a quiet month than in the two weeks before June 15, October 15 or February 15.
Insurance, confidentiality and photo ID
Three items in the same package are not medical records at all. Graceland requires students to carry personal health insurance while enrolled in clinical practicum courses, and Castle Branch wants both sides of the card, renewed each year. The confidentiality statement is signed and uploaded like any other document.
The photo ID does double duty. Graceland uses it to make the photo badge it mails before your first practicum, so the picture you upload is the one patients and staff will see on your coat. Liability coverage is a separate matter that Graceland provides; the dress, badge and insurance page explains both kinds of insurance.
Your RN license verification also sits in this package, and it follows its own rules: a board verification for your home state and each practicum state, never a copy of the card. The RN license page goes through them.
When a site publishes its own list
Graceland's list sets the floor for its students. A hospital or clinic can ask for more, and some publish their own student requirements. Children's Mercy Kansas City, a pediatric health system in the metro, posts its own "Requirements for Educational Participation of Students and Observers" alongside its clinical affiliation standards for schools of nursing.
When a site asks for something Graceland does not list, or wants documents through its own system, tell the contract coordinator. Graceland's handbook asks students to report any site with its own process for requesting student placements, and those extra steps can take weeks. Questions Graceland students ask
Does Graceland require the COVID-19 vaccine for practicums?
Graceland's Attachment A asks for a COVID-19 vaccine record only if you received one. If you did not, the handbook says the requirement will be marked complete. A hospital or clinic hosting your practicum may set its own rule, so check the site's student requirements once your site is confirmed.
Can I decline the hepatitis B vaccine for Graceland?
Graceland's hepatitis B item accepts three vaccines, a titer, or a declination, and the handbook says any declination signed by a health care provider is acceptable. Get the provider's signature before you upload it, and check whether your practicum site accepts a declination as well, since a site can set its own requirement.
How recent does my TB test need to be for Graceland?
Within 12 months. Graceland accepts a one-step skin test, a QuantiFERON or a T-Spot, and the item must be renewed every year. Practicums run across several trimesters, so a result that was current at your first practicum may expire before your last. Put the renewal date on your calendar when you upload.
Do FNP and PMHNP students need ACLS at Graceland?
Graceland's sources disagree. Attachment A says ACLS is required for the AGACNP program only, while page 63 of the same handbook lists BLS/CPR and ACLS cards without limiting them to one track. AGACNP students need it either way. FNP and PMHNP students should confirm with their track coordinator and follow the current handbook.
When is the flu shot due for Graceland nursing students?
Graceland accepts the season's influenza vaccine given as early as July and no later than January 31, and Attachment A lists November 1 as the renewal date. A student who declines may have to wear a mask. Spring practicums start in early January, so have the shot recorded in Castle Branch before your term begins.
