Graceland University practicums for New Hampshire nurses

What the June 2020 chart says about New Hampshire
Every Graceland licensure chart is dated June 2020; nothing newer exists. The New Hampshire MSN row opens with "Nothing needed by state," points to the NONPF criteria for judging nurse practitioner programs, and says Graceland's MSN meets the certification requirement.

That Yes settles licensure only. Whether Graceland is approved to place practicum students living in New Hampshire is a separate answer it gives on request, so write to the contact on the School of Nursing page first. The chart explained in full covers every other state.
Full practice, and a Board rule aimed at other schools
On AANP's practice map, New Hampshire is full practice: an NP there needs no physician contract to run a clinic. That puts NP-owned practices on your list beside physician offices. Graceland's own tests for either kind of preceptor sit on the preceptor requirements page.
The state does police some programs based elsewhere. Rule Nur 602.15(j) has pre-licensure distance programs register with the Board, file a yearly Form A petition, send a Part B placement form six weeks ahead of each rotation and submit a Clinical Preceptor Agreement per preceptor. The Board's education page puts post-licensure programs, RN-BSN and RN-MSN among them, beyond its reach, and Graceland's graduate tracks admit only licensed RNs. One loose end: a published copy shows the rule expiring January 23, 2026, though the licensing office cited it that January; whether it was readopted is unconfirmed.
Health systems and metros where students search
Dartmouth Health, parent of Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, is a natural first stop on a New Hampshire search list. Southern New Hampshire Health and Elliot Health System, the pair that formed SolutionHealth, an alliance their boards moved to dissolve in July 2025, come next, with Concord Hospital's health system and HCA Healthcare's Catholic Medical Center rounding out the list. They are places to ask, not sites holding seats for Graceland. Each runs its own student process, and a site agreement with one clinic does not stretch across a network.
Most in-state choices cluster around Manchester-Nashua and Concord, while southern towns fall inside the Boston-Cambridge-Newton metro. A Boston-area clinic can be the shortest drive, but Massachusetts is "unknown" on Graceland's chart and has not yet put the Nurse Licensure Compact into effect; its board is targeting May 2027. Vermont is also "unknown," though it is a compact state.
Licensing for New Hampshire practicum hours
Graceland checks your RN license twice: once for the state you live in and again for each state that hosts practicum hours. Both must be unencumbered and confirmed by a board verification, not a copy. Because New Hampshire has been a compact member since January 19, 2018, one multistate license issued to a resident covers both checks for in-state sites. The RN license guide covers verification.
PMHNP students have one more check. A telehealth patient counts only when you are licensed where that patient sits, so a multistate license reaches other compact states but not someone joining from Massachusetts today; see the telehealth limits. New Hampshire has not joined the separate APRN Compact either, a question for after graduation rather than for practicums.

Does New Hampshire make Graceland register before I start practicum hours?
The registration steps in Nur 602.15(j) are written for pre-licensure distance programs, and the Board's education page leaves post-licensure programs outside its regulation. If a New Hampshire facility asks for Board paperwork anyway, pass the request to the contract coordinators at soncontracts@graceland.edu instead of filing anything yourself.
Can a New Hampshire resident log Graceland hours at a Massachusetts clinic?
Only if Graceland approves a Massachusetts practicum for you, and that is an open question: its June 2020 chart lists Massachusetts as unknown. The compact is also not live there yet, so your multistate credential from New Hampshire would not reach a site across the line. You would need a Massachusetts RN license and a written answer from the School of Nursing first.
Can an independent New Hampshire NP precept me?
State law is no barrier, since an NP-owned clinic is a legitimate site in a full practice state. Graceland then applies its own standard, and a contract coordinator or the course's lead faculty approves every preceptor. The site also has to suit the course: FNP students need primary care for NURS6740 and NURS6760, for example.
Is Graceland's New Hampshire row still current?
It is the newest Graceland has published, but it dates from June 2020. A Graceland disclosure page marked December 2024 says licensure information is reviewed every year, yet no updated chart has appeared. Ask the School of Nursing to confirm New Hampshire before you enroll, move or sign with a site.
